The Forensic Advisors serve the international forensic science community in the pursuit of excellence by the appropriate, timely, and ethical dissemination of scientific information.

Assistance provided by FAI includes institutional development, training of law enforcement personnel at all levels, donation of equipment and enhancement of forensic capabilities. The forensic services provided to program countries include:

• Training in all forensic disciplines
• Equipping and training crime scene units
• Establishing internships for advanced training in selected forensics disciplines
• Providing forensic management training and quality assurance assistance
• Donating forensic equipment and instruments to program countries.
• Conducting the donation of used equipment and instruments to program countries
